You may know Jenny Milkowski as traffic anchor on FOX 32's Good Day Chicago or you may recognize her as the crazy cat lady on Facebook. But either way, can't watch Jenny and not be swept away by her energy, or if you're like us, you think, "she was born for this!" We're delighted to welcome Jenny to our ballroom this year.
Jenny joined the WFLD team as full-time member in April of 2015 and is absolutely delighted to be "back home" in Chicago (where she was born and raised) and working at the very same TV station where she interned while she was in college. She's an Emmy-winning writer and producer and has been nominated for an Emmy as a traffic reporter. She's been working in television and media since 2006 (coincidentally, the first year of our event - we told you she was born to do this!). She's a proud fighting Illini, graduating from the U of I in Champaign/Urbana with a degree in broadcast journalism.
In addition to her sparkling dance moves, Jenny's first language was Polish and she's a self-proclaimed total klutz. She was in gymnastics as a child and broke her arm, leaving one of her thumbs unable to bend but we know she doesn't have to worry because she is under the coaching of a fabulous Arthur Murray professional dancer (who has two working thumbs).
Jenny is truly unstoppable and we are so happy to have her join us in the fight against breast cancer.
