Welcome, Jason! St. Louis native, Jason Davis, attended the University of Illinois and played fullback for the Illini so we know there will be a lot of happy U of I alumni in the house on March 10th.
In 2006, Jason signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He played his first NFL game in 2008 with the Oakland Raiders before being traded to the Chicago Bears and later to the New York Jets.
Throughout his career, and following retirement, Jason has always had a passion for giving back. He has played a large role in aiding at-risk youth in both Chicago and St. Louis. In 2011 He was inducted into the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club Hall of Honor. After overcoming a battle with weight-loss and committing himself to a healthy lifestyle, Jason and his business partner, former NFL player, Kelvin Hayden, opened up Kärpā Dēem, a group and personal training facility. Jason and Kelvin hope to enrich the Chicago community with the idea of training like a pro with the pros while also creating an environment where people feel like they are part of a team.
As to what he’s looking forward to with the big night? "I love to dance like no one is watching. I am a self-labeled "Amazing Dancer!" Learning to dance with structure will be a task… but I'm up for it!”
“My grandmother was my world growing up. We would dance
together during our "Pig Out Friday’s" when we indulged in homemade ice cream and hamburgers. She passed away from cancer last year, and I can't wait to do what I've only done with her in the house in front of everyone. It's for my love bug, Yolanda Edwards. “
