We're Fighting Breast Cancer With Every Step We Dance!

Dancing With Chicago Celebrities is the annual star-studded charity ball presented by Arthur Murray in Chicago to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. We're proud to have been the first-ever event of this kind in Chicago and are humbled by the legions of people who've supported us.

We salute the entire family of celebrities and dancers who graced our ballroom this year. What an incredible night it was!

Each year, all net proceeds from our event are donated to deserving charity organizations doing great work to fight breast cancer in the Chicagoland area. As of this week, our efforts over the last seven years have raised more then $1,000,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
This year we are extremely proud that the primary beneficiary of the net proceeds of the Eighth Annual Dancing With Chicago Celebrities is the Northwestern Memorial Foundation. The funds raised from all our dancing will be directed to an innovative research effort supporting a breast cancer vaccine trial (after all, we're really committed to stopping this disease!). Additional funds raised will be directed to organizations in the Chicagoland area who are devoted to providing access to care; we are proud of our support to these fine groups and their work on the front lines of this battle. We are delighted that the funds raised stay in our community to ensure we maximize the impact of every dollar we raise right here at home by running an extremely efficient organization through the efforts of dedicated volunteers.

Along with their dancing shoes, practice sessions, red leisure suits, pink wigs, and sparkling rhinestones, our celebrities and corporate superstars truly put their hearts in it and their performances were spectacular. And to make it really special, we were privileged to welcome back to Chicago professional judges Nick and Lena Kosovich from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and Snow Urbin from "So You Think You Can Dance."

Many of our sparkling alumni are also returned this year, including via satellite '06 Champion Rick Bayless, world-renowned chef from Frontera Grill, and live and in person, '08 Champion Dina Bair from WGN, '10 Champion Val Warner from Windy City Live, our 2012 MVP Kim Vatis from NBC-5 as well as '12 Champion, former Chicago Bear Desmond Clark.
